Sara A. Green and Seymour Simkins Scholarships
Applications for the 2024 Summer semester will be accepted from Monday, March 4, 2024 to Friday, April 12, 2024.
Scholarship applications for up to $2,500 in tuition costs will be awarded to ADAPT of the Hudson Valley employees who are pursuing an academic degree in the field of Health and Human Services. Eligible degrees include Associate’s, Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be current full time or part time employee who is regularly scheduled to work 20 hours or more per week for at least the past six months.
- Must be in good standing with no disciplinary action in the past 2 years.
- Receive a written recommendation from their direct supervisor.
- Be enrolled in courses at an accredited institution.
All candidates who meet the above requirements will be considered by the Scholarship Committee using the following criteria:
- Seniority
- Performance Evaluations
- Responses to the questions on the application
The application must be completed, along with a letter of recommendation from the applicant’s supervisor. All documentation must be submitted to the Human Resources Department no later than April 12, 2024.
Scholarship awards will be paid directly to the education institution upon receipt of an invoice for those courses.
